Job description

You will be responsible for the over-all sales and promotion processes of products within the Micro Grids & Distributed Generation Product Group in Mannheim or at home office. Therefore you will get to capture opportunities and be an “ABB Ambassador” for our customers in Central Europe. Does this sound like a suitable challenge for you? Tasks:

  • Tap into new markets and ensure the Micro Grid order intake with the assigned margin.
  • Focus on identifying and acquiring customers and establishing commercial relations while understanding customers’ needs.
  • Bear responsibility for tender and contract negotiations as well as the promotion of products, systems and services.
  • Gather market trends and intelligence on a continuous basis in order to provide market feedback.
  • Deliver forecasted Micro Grid Sales results.
  • Ensure ethical and compliant behaviour within all aspects of the position.

Requirements:

  • An above average university degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Many years of experience within B2B Sales as well as very high customer and sales result orientation.
  • Very good knowledge and deep understanding of Medium Voltage Electrical Systems including Battery Systems, Renewables, Control Systems and Electrical Processes.
  • Willingness to travel (~40%).
  • Capability to drive independently as well as exhibit distinctive communications and presentation skills.
  • Fluent in German and English - other languages would be an advantage.
