Job description

Fluidic Energy is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team as we bring a game-changing product to market. This position entails working alongside a world-class team to provide product design concepts including project execution through all phases of our product development process. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will also be responsible for the creation of new, targeted design standards and the owner of EBOM’s for new product configurations created. The position requires a high level of drive to keep pace and grow with Fluidic as the business continues to expand. The successful candidate will possess the following qualities: excellent technical design skills; 3D modeling and 2D drawing creation; independent thinker; ability to manage resources and projects effectively; passion to solve problems and complete tasks in a timely manner. The candidate will be a hands-on, resourceful problem solver, and team player with exemplary communications skills to efficiently communicate data and collaborate with members of the various technical teams within our organization.

Job Duties:

  1. Ownership for the creation of 3D models and 2D drawings for new product developments. This includes all battery electrodes, ancillary components, and system level enclosure thermal and structural design.
  2. Design engineering creation of a Design Standard portfolio to ensure consistent Design For Manufacturing and Design For Assembly considering process capabilities.
  3. Manage product changes in the cross-functional Configuration Control Board activities including phase in and phase out.
  4. Support transition from design to production.
  5. Lead and participate in concept development and problem solving exercises.



  1. Education: BSME minimum
  2. 10+ years industry experience in design engineering and experience with a CAD system equivalent to Solidworks
  3. Hands-on product test and development experience
  4. The following skills are required:
    1. Exceptional 3D modeling and 2D drawing creation skills
    2. Communication, written and verbal, to efficiently communicate to technical teams, management, and factory associates where English is a second language.
    3. Strong engineering fundamentals including GD&T, mechanical analysis and strength of materials.
