ARE engages in the Africa Energy Forum featuring key discussions and industry announcement
ARE attended the 26th Edition of Africa Energy Forum on 25-28 June 2024 in Barcelona, Spain. The Africa Energy Forum gathers Africa’s key stakeholders, investors, and future leaders and acts as a platform for collaboration and innovation in the continent’s energy sector.
This year’s edition focused on the topic ‘Energy Systems of the Future – Balancing Africa’s Needs with Global Goals’ and brought four interactive discussions covering vital areas such as project developments, technology innovations, cross-sector opportunities, and collaborations. It also saw major industry announcements including ARE Member ENGIE Energy Access’ launch of 15 new mini-grids in Zambia and a target of another 60 by 2025.
During the conference, ARE engaged in insightful panels, visited the vibrant exhibition and connected with ARE Partners and Members such as Anzana Electric (formerly Virunga Power), Camco, Off-Grid Europe and Ryse Energy.
