ARE engages at Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue as Germany commits €100 billion to climate action
ARE actively engaged at the at Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue and German-African Energy Forum on 17-18 March 2025, where German officials reaffirmed the importance of energy access, with EU Energy Commissioner Dan Jørgensen also prioritising the issue. A key highlight was Germany’s commitment of €100 billion to climate-related initiatives.
ARE also took part in a GIZ and IRENA session on green skills, emphasising capacity-building for the energy transition. It was fantastic to connect with ARE Members—including atmosfair, Solar23, the University of Southampton, RENAC, GRIPS Energy, Asantys Systems, Offgrid Europe, and RLI—at the networking drinks, as well as engage with many more throughout the event.
