ARE supports small and medium enterprises through ARE Investment Academies
The Alliance for Rural Electrification (ARE) organised its sixth edition of Investment Academies, providing critical business and financial training for small and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs).
Over the past three years, the academies—offered in English, French, and Portuguese—have equipped participants with essential skills such as improving access to finance, business plan development, and pitch deck writing.
Divided into four modules, the program includes three classroom-based sessions covering key tools for business development, with the final module featuring a face-to-face pitching session to international investors. These academies aim to empower SMEs, particularly in the decentralised renewable energy sector.
