Call for Expressions of Interest for ARE Investment Academies 2024
Training and capacity building programme for local, early-stage companies active in the decentralised renewable energy sector in Africa

Promoting local entrepreneurship in the DRE sector being one of ARE’s key objectives, we are excited to launch our new edition of the ARE Investment Academies 2024 on the topic of “Project Development and Pitch Deck writing”.
Participants will receive in-depth, practice-oriented and interactive training on project development and access to finance-related topics which will culminate in an in-person Pitching Session to financiers at the end of the programme. The training programme, which is supported by GET.invest, will run from 19 March to 23 May 2024 (final dates tbc) and consist of five training modules – three virtual sessions and two in-person sessions at the ARE Energy Access Investment Forum 2024 which will take place from 21 to 23 May in Lagos, Nigeria.
There will be an English and a French edition of the training programme which will be conducted in parallel. For each edition, a maximum of 15 companies will be selected through this Call for Expressions of Interest (EOI). The programme specifically targets local, early-stage energy access companies from African countries which are providing DRE products and services to rural customers and which are suffering from lack of access to finance. We specifically encourage women-owned or -led companies to participate in the programme, targeting a minimum 50% women participation!
