ARE Investment Academy
ARE organises Investment Academies to improve access to finance for DRE projects and businesses under its training & capacity building activities for ARE Members.
The academy aims to build the capacity of the local early-stage (M)SMEs in developing countries by offering them training programmes on business development and access to finance along with exposure to international investors.
ARE has so far organised six editions of Investment Academies in the last three years both in English and French.
Investment Academies in Côte d’Ivoire, Mozambique, and Nigeria
The topics include:
- Improving access to finance,
- Business plan development,
- Pitch deck writing,
- The finance landscape for DRE companies, and more.
ARE Investment Academy (2021 – present)
The academy is spread across four different modules, with the first three dedicated to classroom learning of concepts and tools on business development and pitch deck compilation and the final module is face-to-face pitching of business ideas to international investors.
