GadgetroniX represents several well-recognised international companies in the pursuit of developing, testing, and promoting clean energy technologies and other services to empower individuals and businesses.
The Challenge
Weni, a community in need of a reliable and sustainable water supply, faced significant challenges in accessing adequate water for daily consumption. The traditional water pumping methods in place were costly, inefficient, and heavily reliant on grid electricity, which was often unreliable. Frequent power outages and high operational costs meant that the community struggled to access clean water consistently.
The community needed a solution that could provide 45,000 litres of water per hour in a cost-effective and sustainable manner, without relying on the unstable grid or expensive fuel-powered systems. The goal was to implement an eco-friendly, long-term solution that would ensure reliable access to clean water for daily use.
Renewable Solution
To solve this problem, Gadgetronix introduced a solar-powered water pumping system, eliminating the reliance on expensive and unreliable grid electricity. The system includes:
- 41.4 kWp solar array – 90 high-efficiency JA SOLAR MBB HALF-CELL MONOCRYSTALLINE PV MODULES (460 W each)
- Pump controller – A durable GRUNDFOS RSI 3×380-440 V IP66 30 kW 61A unit
- Pump motor & pump end – Existing Grundfos equipment at the site, seamlessly integrated into the new solar system
With the sun as the primary power source, the system now operates consistently, providing clean water around the clock
Project Outcome
Thanks to this solar-powered solution, the Weni community now has 45,000 litres of water per hour, ensuring reliable access for homes, farmers, and local businesses. The impact has been transformative:
- Uninterrupted water supply – No more worrying about power outages or empty water tanks.
- Lower costs – Eliminating fuel and electricity expenses, making water more affordable.
- Eco-friendly solution – A clean energy alternative that significantly reduces carbon emissions and dependence on fossil fuels.
- Sustainable development – Contributing to environmental conservation while meeting essential human needs.
- Minimal maintenance – A self-sustaining system built to last for years to come.
At Gadgetronix, we believe technology should work for people, not the other way around. This project is proof that with the right approach, clean energy can bring real, meaningful change to communities—one drop at a time.
