Countdown to the 5th International Conference on Solar Technologies & Hybrid Mini Grids

With just over a month to go, anticipation is building for the 5th International Conference on Solar Technologies & Hybrid Mini Grids, taking place from 4-6 September  2024, at the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB) in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. Organised by Trama TecnoAmbiental (TTA) and UIB, this event offers a unique platform for professionals, academics, and institutions to discuss advancements in decentralised energy access and local development.

The conference emphasises practical, real-world projects and encourages the exchange of knowledge and experiences, facilitating valuable connections and collaborations. Topics include sustainable cooling, solar cooking, village empowerment, policy and regulations, design and technology, capacity building, technical innovations, best practices, and much more.

With over 130 registrations from more than 35 countries, this event promises a diverse range of expertise. Highlights include 70+ presentations and 30 poster pitches. Attendees can look forward to six roundtable discussions, a solar cooking demonstration, and an industry forum with product showcases. Additionally, there will be three interactive side events hosted by the Waterloo Institute for Sustainable Energy (WISE), Efficiency for Access, and the World Bank’s Energy Sector Management Assistance Program (ESMAP).
