5th International Conference on Solar Technologies & Hybrid Mini-Grids to Improve Energy Access

The 5th edition of the S-@ccess Conference will take place from 4-6 September 2024, at the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB) in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. Organised by Trama TecnoAmbiental (TTA) and UIB, this international event offers a unique platform for professionals across industries, academia, and institutions to discuss advancements in decentralised energy access and local development.

The conference encourages the exchange of knowledge and experiences, facilitating valuable connections and collaborations among participants. It covers technical, social, environmental, business, and management aspects, with a focus on practical, real-world projects. Attendees will connect with a diverse community of professionals, including scientists, engineers, consultants, students, research institutes, manufacturers, donors, and politicians.

The previous edition’s success highlights the conference’s significance, attracting 136 attendees from 35 countries, featuring 69 presentations, six roundtable discussions, and two interactive side events hosted by the World Bank’s Energy Sector Management Assistance Program (ESMAP) and the Waterloo Institute for Sustainable Energy (WISE). This robust participation underscores the global relevance and impact of the conference in fostering meaningful discussions and collaborations.

Thanks to the generous support of partner organisations, conference fees have been kept low, covering all side events and meals. Registration includes admission to all sessions, coffee breaks, light lunches, the welcome reception, Gala Dinner, conference materials, and side events.

This year’s conference promises interactive workshops, innovative sessions, and dynamic breakout discussions. Dive into topics like sustainable cooling, solar cooking, village empowerment, policy and regulations, design and technology, capacity building, technical innovations, best practices, microfinance for mini-grid customers, and much more.

Early registration is strongly recommended to allow ample time for travel arrangements. Register now via the S-@ccess Conference website to secure your attendance.
