India Energy Storage Week sees key contributions from ARE
ARE attended the India Energy Storage Week (IESW) on 1 – 5 July in New Delhi, India. IESW is a B2B networking & business event focused on renewable energy, advanced batteries, alternative energy storage solutions, electric vehicles, charging infrastructure, green hydrogen, battery manufacturing & supply chain and microgrids ecosystem.
Deepak Mohapatra, Senior Officer, Business & Market Development at ARE, spoke in the plenary session “Battery Recycling (Key government policies to drive the Indian market, BWMR and EPR guidelines for Recycling, refurbishment and second life)”. He presented the findings from ProBaMet project and the Circularity Guidelines developed by ARE.
ARE also participated in the exhibition, presenting ARE’s activities worldwide. During the event, Deepak also had the opportunity to meet with ARE Members & Partners CES and Off-Grid Europe, and stakeholders such as India Energy Storage Association (IESA), the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), International Solar Alliance (ISA), Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit India (GIZ India), Office of the G20 Govt. of India and the National Solar Energy Federation of India (NSEFI) and discussed the potential collaborations on the distributed renewable energy sector in India and beyond.
