Mechanical Engineer Development & Design



Job description

In order to fundamentally shape the future of Off-Grid, we are now looking for a person who is keen to take on an expert role as our sole Mechanical Engineer.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Ideation, design, layout, construction and calculation of different Off- and Ongrid Battery Energy Storage Systems using CAD and FEM software
  • Constructive design of assemblies as well as detailing and calculation of these assemblies
  • Design for extreme environmental conditions such as dust, wildlife and high temperature
  • Collaboration in the areas of planning, implementation, testing, production and provision of prototype and product components
  • Requirement specification and documentation
  • You are experienced in design for manufacturing, cost optimisation and with different materials, experience in plastic injection molding would be a benefit

About You

  • Have a successfully completed degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics or similar
  • Several years of experience in a similar position
  • Are creative and have a lot of experience in materials science and product design
  • Confidence in your own ideas and solutions, courage to implement them
  • Have excellent English skills due to the international working environment and interest in working with different cultures are absolutely mandatory
  • Have practical experience with CAD/FEM systems, preferably SolidWorks/ANSYS

We are located in South Germany, it is a rural area and you must be on site at least 70%.
