INGINE Wave Energy Systems lts (IWES) provides Onshore-type Wave Energy Converter (WEC) called INWave which is suitable for shoreline and remote islands. IWES’s business goal is to offer the world’s first affordable wave energy converter, with a simple, scalable & sustainable technology. The technology has been proven feasible already at prototype demonstration level in a South Korean coast, Jeju island since 2015.

IWES secured Seal of Excellence award by European Commission, scoring high-quality innovative ocean energy systems potentially to deploy across all over the Atlantic Ocean coasts, MEA (Marine Energy Alliance) award achieving TRL 6-7 evaluation in 2019, and winning of Energy Catalyst Grant Round 9 and Round 10 programmes, by Innovate UK in 2022-2023. INWave technology has been annouced as “Highest Value Invention” ranked No 1 in the Europe Patent Office and the European Commission report in 2023.
