Qotto CRM innovation: An optimised customer experience for financial inclusion

Providing underserved populations with access to essential services, thereby fostering their autonomy, is our mission at Qotto.

Financial inclusion remains a core aspect of these services, aimed at offering affordable financial solutions to populations excluded from the banking system—representing 80% in West Africa.

Qotto transforms the lives of Beninese people by providing solar kits and financial services. “Today, our customers can make transactions via electronic money from their phones, access solar energy, benefit from Qotto Vie insurance, and secure new sources of income,” says Aubin Rostand Kitio, Innovation & Partnership Manager at Qotto.

  • Qotto Life Insurance (Qotto Vie): Security for our customers and their families

Through our partnership with SUNU and SANLAM Life Insurance companies, every customer subscribing to a solar kit is covered by insurance. In the case of death or permanent disability, this coverage takes care of outstanding payments, ensuring uninterrupted access to energy for their families. Qotto Vie offers peace of mind and true financial security to our customers.

  • The Multi-Service Kiosk (KMS): A new source of income

Beyond our solar solutions, our KMS helps customers generate additional income. In partnership with Moov Africa Benin, these kiosks facilitate the sale of SIM cards and electronic money, while also providing commissions for selling our solar kits. This initiative promotes financial autonomy and bolsters the local economy.

Charlotte, a resident of Zè in the Atlantique department, testifies: “Thanks to KMS of Qotto, my shop is now lit, and I can stay open later. I also received my Moov Money SIM in just one week, instead of waiting three months.”

  • SiQo: key to improving the Customer Experience

Qotto’s Information System (SiQo) is one of the pillars of our successful customer experience. “SiQo is a network of interconnected tools optimising customer satisfaction,” explains Andil Adebiyi, Lead Developer at Qotto. It centralises customer data, allowing for swift request handling and accurate need anticipation. “Its strength lies in facilitating communication across teams, even remotely,” adds Adebiyi.

  • A strong commitment to financial inclusion

With Qotto Vie and KMS, Qotto is dedicated to sustainable financial inclusion. These services improve energy access, protect against unforeseen events, and provide income opportunities, enhancing customers’ economic autonomy.

Qotto embodies a modern vision of financial inclusion in Benin, aspiring to become the most S.M.A.R.T essential services provider in West Africa.
